Our trip to Founders Park

On the last week of our term our class went to Founders Park for an lesson about ANZAC day. We were greeted by a person called Captain Mannering (after Dad's army) and two nurses. We got to put on a gas mask and had to carry it around with us . We went to various shops like post offices, bakeries and fire staions. We had a taste of some of the rations they had in the war. Later on we heard a siren go and we headed towards an air raid shelter which was a London underground station. Inside they had a railway track and a buggy on the track. We saw some spies sitting in the corner communicating with other people using code. They were the French resistance. We had lunch on the grass by the church. Before we left we got some postcards. Then we went onto another trip to New World.
