The rope swing by James

When we went on our tramp to Lochmara it was boiling hot and when we got there we ate our lunches and ran down to the ropeswing and jumped in. We all had an awesome time like running around feeding the birds and playing with the pigs. It was awesome being at Lochmara and I would love to do it again.

The orca - killer whale

When we were going back from Lochmara Lodge we saw Orcas. We were passing a bay when a black fin like a shark's fin broke the surface, it was an Orca. We pulled into the bay and watched the back of a baby Orca rise out of the water. After that it rose a few more times then it rose and it was coming right for us. Then we pulled out of the bay and went back to camp.By Sam.

Sailing at camp

W went sailing at camp. We put our boats in the sea and listened to this guy's instructions. Then we sailed out and I capsized the boat and had to pull the boat out of the wind. We crashed into other boats, it was very exciting. We also went kayaking. By Felix

sam from christchurch

Sam is an awesome kid. He loves scooters. He is here because of the Christchurch earthquakes . His playstation was destroyed in the second earthquake. We think he is a nice kid. We are sad that he is leaving us. We wish him all the best. It is good to know that his house is okay and that his school has reopened.

Day 2 of our camp

On day two of camp we tramped on a three hour walk to Lochmara. There was one big rope swing into the sea. After that the teacher split us into two groups Group one was first. We went into a bird cage of kakariki. We got some bird food and put it on our hands. We all got birds to land on our hands and eat the food. It was awesome. Next we went up the farm to the pigs. We were allowed to ride one of them. Sam and Milan were the only ones to give it a go. It was fun but also scary. We got a boat back to Mistletoe bay. Group two saw orca whales. It was amazing.

Our camp

Our first day at camp was all about the rotation. We did Burma trail with Mrs White.Adventure trail with Mr Mackenzie.Sailing and kayaking with Roger. That afternoon we played pictionary. After tea we went for a walk with Paula to see the glow worms. Some people from our group got lost and went back. The glow worms were so cool. Purple cake day

Purple cake day is a day all about thinking about children all around the world who are in need especially in Haiti and Christchurch. It was created by Emily Sanson-Rejouis who lost some of her family in the Haiti earthquake. On March the 1st we dressed in creative purple outfits and gave a donation to the Haiti and Christchurch earthquake relief. Our school alone raised $860.We hope the money we raised helps Haiti and Christchurch recover and repair damages.
